Bhedetar, also known as ‘Sailung Danda’ is a place which cannot be missed. It is located in sunsari district, 16 km north from Dharan, 1420m above from sea level. It’s actually a small hill station. In the past, long before the Koshi Highway was made, people from hilly regions took Bhedetar as a gateway to ‘Dharan’. It was merely a bus stop for some lunch and breakfast. Later, the stop grew into a town. And later it was developed as a touristrial destination. Due to the good facility of transportation this place is so popular now a days.
The main attraction of Bhedetar is its cold weather, changing weather and the view we can see from there. In a clear day you can view the beautiful city Dharan sitting on the lap of hill from that place. Similarly you can view the Char Kose Jhadi (The dense jungle), and the river Saptakoshi. The mountains on north and Dhankuta bazar also can be seen from bhedetar. The viewing point is the place of attraction for all. A view point at the top of a hill makes you feel like you are flying in the sky with the fog when you reach this place. The view point is also known as Charles Point name after the prince Charles.
Another attraction of Bhedetar is the water fall. About five kilometer down from the Bhedetar bazar there is a water fall name as "Namaste Jharana". you can reach this waterfall after a walk of around fifteen minute from the main road. The sound of water and the view of water fall makes you assume that you are in heaven. It is the best gift of nature.
Many hotels and restaurants took interest and developed it to assist tourists for a comfortable stay and good food. The place remains cool throughout the year. And therefore people often come by here to escape the summer heat. And the fun part is that the experience worth a million dollar actually fits into your small pockets.
